Business Unit Manager in China

Our plant in China is a start-up organisation. Therefore, as Business Unit manager, you will be also responsible for the general management of the plant. The actual size of the company also means, you will not only have a managerial role, but you will be also involved hands-on in some operational tasks or the organisational set-up, where needed.

We are looking for a Business Unit Manager (M/F) for Biobest China (SHOUGUANG, WEIFANG)

Function

  • You will have full responsibility to manage our company in Shouguang, China.

  • You will lead, motivate and communicate with the production team and the commercial team.

  • You will plan and coordinate logistics and manage the finance department.

  • You will explore the market possibilities in China to launch new products or open new markets.
  • You will report and travel to the Belgian headquarters when needed.

  • You will actively search for production materials in China.

Applicants for this position should

  • Speak and write fluently in English and Chinese.

  • Have experience in the agricultural or horticultural business.

  • Have a master’s degree in management, finance, horticulture or bio science.

  • Have knowledge of accounting, sourcing, logistics, or other business-related domains.
  • Have several years’ experience in a commercial, business development and/or managerial position.

  • Have experience in negotiating with local & regional government authorities, customs, health authorities, …
  • Be willing to travel within China and to Belgium.

  • Be living or be willing to move to Shouguang, Weifang area.

  • Be flexible, dedicated and pro-active.
