Product Manager Bumblebees

Job description

  • Based at the Group Headquarters in Belgium
  • Takes responsibility for product portfolio management at group level for bumblebees & beneficial insects and mites
  • Coordinates the innovation process following a stage-gate methodology in close interaction with all departments involved (R&D, operations, sales, local teams in various countries)
  • Prepares and executes launch / marketing plans to successfully bring innovations to market including training
  • Manages & controls margins and pricing
  • Builds and manages relationships with external collaboration partners
  • Maintains regular contact with growers to understand market needs and gather market information

Profile 

  • Technical degree or an M.Sc. in Plant Sciences, Bio-engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant technical or sales experience with biological control, preferably with beneficials or bumblebees
  • Be able to think strategically
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of grower needs in horticulture
  • Passionate about sustainability and innovation
  • Be a good listener with strong analytical skills
  • Be able to communicate well in writing and orally
  • Willing to take responsibility for certain internal administrative processes
  • Skilled in project management or motivated to acquire the relevant skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate project teams
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a major asset (FR, ES, DE, NL)
  • Be prepared to travel on a regular basis
