BioWorks must comply with all relevant trade compliance laws, regulations, and industry standards concerning the production, distribution, and marketing of biological crop protection products, as well and biopesticides. Today, we are looking for a Junior Compliance & Registration Officer Biopesticides to join our dynamic team in this critical position.

Your responsibilities

  • You provide guidance and support to internal staff of Customer Service, Business Development and R&D departments to ensure compliance with legal and technical requirements for different territories.
  • You monitor the status of application dossiers for registration, registration renewals, post-registration activities and import permits for BioWorks products.
  • You maintain extensive documentation to track compliance activities, trade and custom regulations, approvals, and required submissions. You ensure that all permits, licenses, and registrations are obtained and kept up to date.
  • You support the preparation of regulatory dossiers, reports, notifications, and submissions and file them with regulatory agencies as required. You ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance-related information.
  • You stay updated on regulatory developments and best practices in the industry. You identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of compliance strategies and initiatives.

Your profile

  • A degree in a relevant study field such as entomology, biology, chemistry, agronomy, bio-engineering or environmental sciences is a plus.
  • Any experience in regulatory compliance in the agricultural or biotechnology sector is a strong asset. Any experience in a legal administrative or registration role is valuable. Don’t have experience, but you are eager to learn? This is a great opportunity for candidates fresh out of college or university!
  • Knowledge of international trade compliance, custom regulations (origin and HS code), and export controls advisory is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Any other language is an asset.
  • You can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
